Our team of professional audio and video engineers enhance and perfect your source content into a master format. It is then transferred to a glass master using a UV laser beam which in turn produces a stamper disc for the replication process. In addition, we provide DVD encoded authoring and Blu-ray authoring services for your DVD and Blu-ray data storage needs.
Audio Pre Mastering and Video Encoding begin with taking source data in various formats and creating a disc image on a suitable disc format. Utilising the latest equipment and technology, our professional audio and video engineers use their expertise to provide you with the premaster that enhances both sound and image to your specification, and ensures the recorded video or audio is done perfectly.
DVD Authoring involves creating a DVD video capable of playing on a DVD player. This process may include opening the logo, creating the DVD navigation structure, laying out the assets, designing the DVD menus, indexing, scene selection, incorporating audio options, multiple video format and others.
Blu-ray Authoring is the process of assembling source data, including text documents, images, audio and video files into an interactive format.
Replication
DVD and CD replication is a precision closed-loop injection moulding process which impresses polycarbonate onto a stamper to produce a clear plastic disc incorporating the relevant content data.
Firstly a micro thin layer of aluminium film is deposited onto the clear substrate to act as a reflective layer for laser read back. UV clear lacquer is then applied onto the surface of the disc to protect the disc from dust, scratches and environmental conditions. Each individual disc is then automatically screened for any visual defects.
DVD replication involves 2 separated layers of injected substrate formed by 2 injection moulding machines. Another micro thin layer of aluminium (aluminium and silver for separate substrate in DVD9) film is deposited onto the clear substrate to act as a reflective layer for laser read back. An adhesive (bonder) will bond both sides together into a single disc.
The Blu-ray replication process begins with polycarbonate substrate moulding. The content data that is moulded into the discs and is made up of the pits and lands (minuit circular grooves) This is followed by sputtering the reflective and base layers which is applied for the pit transfer layer.
Next the layer 1 content data is embossed before another reflective layer is sputtered and then a UV-cured resin cover layer is applied
The hard coat layer is applied which is necessary especially for Blu-ray discs as the data layer is closer to the surface and more vulnerable to scratches.
Finally the metalised moisture barrier layer is applied to prevent warping of the disc.

Printing
In addition to label printing, we also provide a one-stop service for commercial prints in the publishing, packaging and advertising industry.
Our modern, sheet-fed printing factory offers you a comprehensive range of services, including graphic design, film output and digital proofing, 5-colour Heidelberg printing with perfecting and on-line aqueous coating, binding, folding, saddle stitching, die-cutting, inline carton glueing and auto shrinkwrapping. In this range of products, our manufacturing capabilities include any form of paper printing and packaging material ranging from simple mailers, brochures, posters, booklets and inlays for cardboard sleeves, retail boxes, slip cases and digipacks.
Packaging
Completed replicated and printed discs are then sent for packaging according to the client’s specification. Optical discs are packaged to protect them from scratches and other types of damage from the elements, dust and light. Packaging usually carries information about the disc type and origin plus external advertising about the content of the CD/DVD to attract attention and encourage purchase.
We utilise a wide range of automated high-speed packaging machines which pack the discs into various types of casings or sleeves.
We employ a large team of qualified packers who are able to provide a 24 hour turnaround service. Depending on the client’s requirements, we offer a suite of innovative and diverse packaging solutions to provide you with a competitive marketing edge.
